Jeff Schwartz
Loyola Marymount University Director of Learning Design for Online Programs
Jeff Schwartz works in the Provost’s Office at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA) as the Director of Learning Design for Online Programs, where he oversees a team that supports course development and instructional design for online/hybrid degrees and certificate programs. Jeff regularly partners with Academic Affairs, the Center for Teaching Excellence, Information Technology Services, and the university's Academic Technology Committee, and faculty stakeholders, to strategize and plan technology adoptions, policy initiatives, and academic technology implementations at LMU. In addition to his work in academia, Schwartz has published two books on the history of popular music and received national recognition for his cancer advocacy work on behalf of young adults from Lance Armstrong and the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Jeff earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by an M. Ed in Information Systems and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
When he's not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with family, playing guitar and attending live music events, coaching little league baseball, playing video games, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
